The department

The legal industry has faced significant and rapid change in recent years, which has impacted both client expectations and the delivery of legal services. In this climate, the key to providing excellent client service will be our ability to embrace new ideas, technologies, and ways of working to help us challenge the present and shape the future.

As a Business Analyst/Project Manager, you will be a core member of the firm’s Projects & Change team and play an exciting and key role in supporting delivery of the firm’s strategic objectives and innovation projects, including the implementation of a budgeting and cash flow solution and an upgrade to Elite 3e.

We are open to discussing location with the successful candidate, ideally we are looking for someone to be able to come into the London offices twice a week.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end business analyst/project management activities on typically finance related projects, which will include complex projects within a programme.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understand and anticipate their needs with the ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently.
  • Work across the business and with third parties to agree the project objectives, scope, budget, success factors, resource requirements, deliverables, outcomes and benefits.
  • Produce and maintain the required project documentation e.g. process flows, project plans, design documentation, requirements, risks and issue logs, status reports in alignment with the LS Change framework.
  • Gather and analyse data to produce reports and other information for the management team to review.
  • Lead and motivate cross functional teams to deliver.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in finance related project management and business analysis.
  • A proven track record of leading the delivery of complex workstreams and projects, with the ability to flex your approach, work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate decision making and escalate risks, and manage your own plans and time management.
  • Proven experience of working with third parties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience of bringing people together to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to think on your feet to identify and solve potential issues collaboratively, and management and prioritise multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a Project Management role within professional services, if within legal this would be ideal however not essential.
  • Certified in Business Analysis and/or AgilePM, PRINCE2 Project Management qualifications.
  • Experience of being able to navigate ambiguous, changeable, and complex environments.
